Andrew Anderson Looking to Settle Unfinished Business PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 08 February 2010 20:04

Andrew Anderson In returning to Manfeild this weekend for The Mad Butcher 200, there is a sense of unfinished business for Andrew Anderson.

Last season he narrowly missed out on his maiden pole position by less than two tenths of a second to line up alongside current NZV8 series leader Craig Baird on the front row.  During the racing, a couple of incidents (DNF in race 1 whilst in third position and spinning out while leading a wet race 3) saw him give away strong results and what should have been a podium result for the weekend.

“Last year is great motivation for me.  I feel the car is now better than last year and with us able to get the balance of the ITM Commodore sorted at Timaru, I am eager to continue our momentum.  The AV8 Motorsport team has been further developing areas of the chassis that we believe will make the Holdens that little bit more competitive and close the gap to the Fords” commented Anderson.

The ITM Commodore sustained substantial panel damage from kissing the wall in the first test session at Timaru. Steve and the team from Moselle Panel and Paint have managed to turn the ITM Commodore around between the rounds.  A huge thanks to them as the car is looking like new with a new right hand rear quarter, repainted panels, and repaired fibreglass.

Andrew has a store appearance at Crighton ITM Building Centre in Levin on Friday morning before heading to the track to focus on the weekend ahead.

The ITM Racing team are supported by ITM, Marley, Kincrome, E-FRAME, Selleys, Hitachi Power Tools, Valvoline, Pink Batts, West City Holden, New Balance, Moselle Panel and Paint, Davy Tyre Services, Cottle Motors, PPG, and Subway
