Speedshow Backs Top NZ V8 Team John McIntyre Racing PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 10 February 2010 18:48

McIntyre Speedshow The popular annual automotive and motorsport show, Speedshow, is supporting John McIntyre's bid to win a third New Zealand V8 touring car championship.

The Speedshow logo now features on McIntyre’s #47 Ford V8 and will help provide additional public awareness of what one motor industry commentator called ‘the de facto Kiwi motor show’.

“We’ve known John for many years; since his early teenage years, in fact, when he helped out around the pits and clearly had a massive enthusiasm for motorsport, so it’s fantastic to see him doing so well with his own team in a very competitive class,” says Sharp.

“If you’re looking for a driver to support in New Zealand motorsport, you’d be hard pressed to go passed someone with the profile that John has. He’s popular with fans, he’s always a front-runner in the top-rating BNT V8s and he was at Speedshow as an exhibitor to launch his newly-built car in 2008, so we’re delighted to have an involvement with his 2009-10 campaign.”

McIntyre highlights the fact Speedshow is the premium show for motorsport and car enthusiasts.

“Speedshow always has an amazing feel to it,” says ‘Johnny Mac’. “Having known Keith for so long, it’s a pleasure to have them on-board as a sponsor.”

The 2010 edition of Speedshow takes places at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland over the weekend of 24 and 25 July. As in previous years, a wide range of new and classic cars and motorbikes from all forms of motorsport will feature alongside the best, most interesting variety of performance vehicles the Speedshow team can lay their hands on. News and details are updated on the Speedshow website on a regular basis; see www.speedshow.co.nz, or find Speedshow on Facebook.
